The truth is, bad things happen all of the time: a child get caner, a heart attack takes the life of a family member unexpectedly, an untimely lay off. This will cause us to ask God, “Why, did this happen?” “How could you allow this?” The Teacher in Ecclesiastes writes, “In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these: the righteous perishing in their righteousness, and the wicked living long in their wickedness” (Ecclesiastes 7:15). Join us as we explore a biblical understanding of pain and suffering and see how the gospel is good news in a fallen world.
