KidzBlast Elementary

Strategic Leadership Partner

Description: The person in this ministry position will partner with the Family Life Pastor to help provide creative leadership and active support to the KidzBlast ministry teams. The value of this ministry position is, through collaborative efforts in working together, to bring new ideas for more effective ministry, support the KB leadership team and assist the pastor with training and organization.

Time Commitment: Two Sundays/month (3hrs), plus monthly meeting

KB Team Leader

Description: The person in this ministry position will work with the Family Life Pastor to prepare and lead a portion of the lesson during KidzBlast service on Sunday mornings. The value of this ministry position is the commitment to provide personal connection with the kids along with consistent and creative leadership to the KB team by leading a small break out group each Sunday, when scheduled.

Time Commitment: New rotational schedule: (3 team rotation) 2 Sundays on/ 4 wks off, 2 hrs/wk (when scheduled) with additional time at home for prep

KB Assistant Leader

Description: The person in this ministry position will work with the Family Life Pastor to assist the KB leadership team during the KidzBlast service on Sunday mornings. The value of this ministry position is the commitment to provide personal connection with the kids along with consistent and creative leadership to the KB team by serving with a great attitude and lots of energy each Sunday, when scheduled.

KB Audio/Visual Team Leader

Description: The person in this ministry position will assist the Family Life Pastor by providing their technical skills and leadership to the A/V Team for the KidzBlast service on Sunday mornings. The value of this ministry position is the commitment to coordinate and train a team who is willing to serve with a great attitude and provide the A/V needs each Sunday, as scheduled (rotational schedule)

KB A/V Assistant Leader

Description: The person in this ministry position will assist the Family Life Pastor by providing their technical skills to the A/V portion of the KidzBlast service on Sunday mornings. Creative FUN Coordinator

Description: The person in this ministry position will partner with the Family Life Pastor with their creative ideas, high energy and leadership skills to help ensure the kids have FUN during the KidzBlast service on Sunday mornings. The value of this ministry position is the commitment to collaborate with the KB leadership team to inject FUN into our teaching methods and service structure, always making JESUS the focus of our experience!

Junior Leader Team Leader

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to provide active support to the Family Life Pastor and oversee the Children’s Ministry Junior Leader Team. The importance comes in the area of growing teens through ministry service; utilizing them and training them before, during and after KidzBlast Services, special events and outreaches. Helping teens discover their gifts and providing venues for them to grow and utilize their gifts in active ministry.

Time Commitment:: 2 hrs/wk plus monthly meetings

Junior Leader

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to provide training, discipleship and service for teens who feel the call of God on their life for ministry, as well as those who simply want to serve, discover, and develop the gifts God has placed within them. The importance comes in the way you assist and interact with both our children and other volunteers from the Sunday morning Children’s Ministry Team, as well as your willingness to learn and grow as a leader.

Time Commitment:: 2 hrs/wk (or less, based upon your level of commitment)

KidzBlast Junior (Pre-School)

KB Jr. Team Leader

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to provide active support to the Family Life Pastor and develop an age appropriate worship service for preschool, ages 3 to 5, to oversee and schedule the KB Jr Team of volunteers. The importance of this ministry is to assist, interact, coordinate and train a team of volunteers; to organize the Sunday morning KidzBlast Junior service from beginning to end, teaching as needed; to enable children to embrace the Lord Jesus and prepare them to seek a relationship with Him.

Time Commitment: 2hrs/wk, plus mthly meetings

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to teach our children the foundational truths of God’s word in a fun, exciting and age-appropriate way. The importance of this ministry is to lead and encourage preschoolers to worship the Lord by introducing them to an age-appropriate service.

Time Commitment: In a 4 wk rotation 2hrs/wk, plus home prep

KB Jr Teacher’s Assistant

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to assist the lead teacher during KidzBlast Junior services; making preschoolers feel welcomed and safe when in our care, as well as learning leadership in ministry. The importance comes in the way you assist and interact with our lead teachers and children throughout the service.

Time Commitment:  In a 4 wk rotation, 2 hrs/wk

Junior Bible Quiz Coach

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to provide an opportunity for those in kindergarten through sixth grade to work together on teams to learn and understand questions and answers from the JBQ Bible Fact Pak. Then utilizing cooperative quizzing, church teams meet together for multiple fun quizzing matches. The importance of this ministry is to teach children to hide God’s Word in their heart as well as instilling within them a basic knowledge of the Bible.

Time Commitment: 1 hr/wk (9:15-10:15am) JBQ season plus 4 Saturday meets

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to assist the coach during practices in the duties of timekeeping, scorekeeping, and judging. During the meets, one would carry out these same duties for the quizmaster.

Junior Bible Quiz Quizmaster

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to assist the coach during practices in the duties of running a mock quiz meet. During the meets, one would officiate multiple rounds for one of the leagues. Must know the JBQ rule book, have clear communication skills in front of an audience, and familiarize themselves with the Bible Fact Pack.

Kidz P.A.D. (Puppets and Drama)

Kidz P.A.D. Team Leader

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to engage children through the use of puppetry to help reinforce Bible lessons and sing songs, as well as lead outside outreach opportunities where kids can be involved in active ministry. To also oversee, recruit, and train volunteers and schedule teams.

Special Needs Ministry

Special Needs Buddies

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to create a warm, inviting community in our church where special needs families are welcomed and their children experience God’s love, are encouraged to grow in their faith, and can actively participate in service to God’s Kingdom. Buddies attend KidzBlast with a fabulous kid who needs loving gentle support. You will assist with crafts, Bible activities, and keeping the child safe, engaged, and on-task.

Time Commitment: One Sunday per month plus quarterly volunteer trainings.

Special Needs Teachers

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to create a warm, inviting community in our church where special needs families are welcomed and their children experience God’s love, are encouraged to grow in their faith, and can actively participate in service to God’s Kingdom. You will develop and lead the lesson plan and activities for the classroom on your Sunday. You will also oversee and guide the buddies working with the children.

Time Commitment: : One Sunday per month plus quarterly volunteer trainings plus lesson planning time.

Children’s Hospitality Team

Hospitality Team Leader

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to make our regular attendees, as well as first time guests, feel welcome and safe when leaving their children in our care. The way we greet, direct, treat and transition their children into the appropriate area of Sunday morning or Wednesday evening Children’s Ministry is extremely important. The importance of this ministry is to recruit and train volunteers and coordinate a rotating schedule; to assist, interact with and provide oversight for the Hospitality Team of volunteers; and should be proficient with computers.

Time Commitment: 2 hours/week.

Hospitality Team Volunteer

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to make our regular attendees, as well as first time guests, feel welcome and safe when leaving their children in our care. The way we greet, direct, treat and transition their children into the appropriate area of Sunday morning or Wednesday evening Children’s Ministry is extremely important. The HTV provides assistance to our attendees at the computer kiosk and should be well versed regarding the ministry as to answer any questions for our guests.

Time Commitment: 1 hr/wk when scheduled, 1-2 times each mth (rotation)

Nursery

Nursery Team Coordinator (NTC)

Description: Assist the Family Life Pastor to help oversee the nursery and staffing during services, recruit and train all nursery volunteers, and develop and maintain a schedule of workers. The NTC will briefly check in with the Nursery Team during each service to confirm staffing and revise the nursery schedule every four months. The NTC will serve, substitute and recruit as needed.

Time Commitment: 15-30 min/wk (check-in) 1 hr/mth (recruit/schedule) Monthly meeting with Pastor

Description: Assist the Family Life Pastor by providing leadership to the Nursery Team and insure that a caring, safe and effective ministry environment is provided for infants and toddlers. This person will oversee the Team, assign appropriate staffing to each age group and be sure the various ministry areas are utilized for the most effective ministry with the children and staff.

Time Commitment: 2 hrs/wk when scheduled (1/mth rotation), 1 hr/qtrly meeting plus special events (opt)

Nursery Assistant Team Leader

Description: Oversee supplies and inventory,keep room and toys clean, and periodically evaluate and update nursery manual.

Nursery Volunteer

Description: Provide a safe environment for infants and toddlers through tender loving care, as well as guided play, songs, and learning of the basic concepts of God’s love; and provide a quiet, uninterrupted time of worship for parents/guardians in the main auditorium.

Time Commitment: : 1.5-2 hrs/mth or bi-mthly dependent upon level of commitment plus special events (opt)

Nursery Transition Volunteer

Description: To assist the Nursery Team Coordinator, the Transition Volunteer will relieve Sunday School teachers in the nursery by 10:15; serve in the nursery until scheduled workers arrive, to ensure a smooth transition; and seek out temporary and/or replacement workers, when necessary prior to service.

Time Commitment: : 15-30 mins/wk

Royal Rangers

Outpost Coordinator

Description: Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the Royal Ranger operation. Plans promotion, training, events, counseling, discipline, and works with the Pastor and all the other ministries within the church.

Time Commitment: 90 minutes/ week (plus leadership meetings, outpost events, and campouts as needed.)

Group Leader

Description: Plans and provides direction to adult and junior leaders in the conducting of their meetings, activities and projects within this group. Lives a Godly example, leads and supervises boys, keeps records of boys’ advancements, as well as appoints the Senior Patrol Leader with the approval of the Outpost Coordinator.

Time Commitment: 90 minutes/ week (plus home planning for weekly lessons, as well as a few weekend events.)

Assistant Group Leader

Description: Should be at least 18 years old. Duties consist of assisting the group leader and cover the meeting in the absence of the Group Leader. All lessons will be supplied as needed.

Time Commitment: 90 minutes/ week (plus a few weekend events.)

Description: Duties consist of being the spiritual advisor and counselor, while helping to shape the boys spiritual growth in the Outpost. Position includes assisting with conducting Bible studies and devotions.

Description: Duties will vary as needed within the Outpost. Duties may include recruitment of new leaders, fundraising, helping boys with merits and advancements, securing new equipment and supplies, presentation of awards, and promotion of the Royal Ranger Ministry.

Girls Ministry

Coordinator

Description: The purpose of this ministry is to see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to empower girls to realize their importance and potential in the Kingdom of God. The GM Coordinator oversees the Girls’ Ministry and helps to coordinate their calendar of activities. She assists the Family Life Pastor to recruit, train and equip the GM teachers of each class with the tools they need to accomplish the goal of mentoring and discipling girls into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and with their peers.

Time Commitment: 2 hrs/wk plus prep time, as needed

(2 / class): Rainbows Teacher, Rainbows Co-Teacher

Description: This position provides a fun Noah’s Ark theme for the Bible stories, crafts, full-color activity pages, and games for this preschool club, containing both boys and girls ages 3 thru 5. Rainbows add colorful animal badges to their vests as they complete requirements for the achievement program. Units can be completed in 4 wks. Only nine units need to be completed each year.

Time Commitment: 2 hrs/wk plus prep time, as needed

Administrative Assistant

Description: Providing the greatest opportunity for girls to grow in their relationship with Jesus in an age-appropriate way. Creating lasting, life-changing friendships with each other and leaders through activities, mentoring, and discipleship. This position assists the GM Coordinator and teachers with tracking attendance, giving and supplies for the classrooms. She also functions as a substitute teacher, as needed.
